Mr. Weirich has over 30 years experience in boundary surveying, topographic surveying, construction layout staking, and the coordination and supervision of surveying personnel. He currently serves as Director of Surveying Services and as such schedules the operation of a fully equipped surveying crew, performs computations, researches county records for support data, and coordinates with the client before, during, and after the work is performed. Mr. Weirich worked as an engineering and surveying technician for Robert C. Steinmiller, P.E., P.S., the Ottawa County Engineer, and United Engineers & Constructors, Inc. prior to joining Brunkhorst Engineering Consultants, Inc.

Mr. Weirich has performed thousands of miscellaneous boundary surveys and minor subdivisions throughout Ottawa and Sandusky Counties. Under the guidance of Mr. Weirich, field crews are required to perform a series of checks while in the field prior to leaving a project site. Field data is then checked, verified and adjusted in the office by field survey coordination and hard copies of plats. Legal descriptions are checked and verified for closure and errors before being submitted to the client or for recording. We utilize GPS technology in boundary surveying for state plane coordinates and tie into critical monumentation, such as lot corners and centerline monuments. GPS technology can be utilized to establish survey control within a project. He works closely with representatives of various governmental departments through all phases of the projects and is directly involved with public records research, field work and office work performing functions such as boundary calculations and analyzation, basemap preparation and generation of legal descriptions. He also has a positive working relationship with members of Ottawa County Engineer’s office, Ottawa Regional Planning Commission and Sandusky County Tax Map Office.

Mr. Weirich is a member of the Professional Land Surveyors of Ohio.
